Lo-Cost Eyeglass program

coming to Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN — The North Western PA Optical Clinic will be at the Lock Haven Salvation Army, 119 E. Church St., from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Call 1-800-01-1912 for full information and to schedule an appointment. You will need to have your prescription for your appointment. Walk-ins are welcome until 1:30 p.m.

The privately funded program provides income eligible persons with eyeglasses for a low cost of $40. This includes lined bifocals. No-lines are available at $70. They also offer a solid tint.

Income guidelines are for one person, $21,660; two people, $29,140, and increases by $7,480 for each additional person in the household.

You will select your frames from many in stock and have them measured for your lenses. You pay for your glasses at this time by cash or money order and they will be shipped to our lab for assembly and then mailed to your home.

Patriotic ‘Time Out’ at VFW

LOCK HAVEN — The Clinton County Economic Partnership, Bland J. Rossman VFW Post 1630 in Lock Haven, and Downtown Lock Haven Inc. will hold a “Time Out” on Thursday, Jan. 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the new VFW, 1110 E. Water St.

The VFW’s new 3,000-square-foot John J. Russo Hall of Honor and the Club Room will be open for viewing. VFW Post memberships for 2017 will be available.

Also, Downtown Lock Haven will present their annual Downtown Appreciation Awards and highlight the 2017 Hometown Heroes Banner program and their “Most Patriotic Town in America” campaign.

Light refreshments, door prizes and a cash bar will be available. RSVPs are requested by Jan. 13 to the Clinton County Economic Partnership at 570-48-5782 or tourism@clintoncountyinfo.com.
