Leadership Clinton County meets local leaders

LOCK HAVEN — Leadership Clinton County held a two-day session recently to educate its participants on Clinton County’s local government, elections and the judicial system.

Participants had the opportunity to tour the courthouse, Garden Building and correctional facility.

In addition, participants heard from local leaders including state Rep. Mike Hanna, Commissioners Paul Conklin, Pete Smeltz and Jeff Snyder, Deb Rudy representing State Sen. Jospeh Scarnati’s office, Lock Haven Mayor Bill Baney and Lamar Township Supervisor Bill Garbrick. These legislative leaders spoke to the participants to help them gain a better understanding of public policy, local government and running for public office.

Participants also met with Judge Craig Miller, State Trooper Angela Bieber, Sheriff Kerry Stover and Lock Haven Chief of Police Keith Kibler who explained the different judicial systems in Clinton County and how our local law enforcement agencies work together to keep Clinton County safe.

Continuing to work on their leadership skills, participants also worked on leadership and cultural development with Joe Miller.
