M&T Bank robber gets prison term

Warren Dean Pletcher

LOCK HAVEN — A Camp Hill man will serve 11 to 23 months in the Clinton County Correctional Facility for robbing a local bank in 2016.

Warren Dean Pletcher, 28, was sentenced to 11 to 23 months for robbing the M&T Bank in Mill Hall last June 16.

That sentence was handed down this week in Clinton County court by President Judge Craig P. Miller.

Pletcher had been charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking and possession of drug paraphernalia. The last two charges were dismissed prior to sentencing.

The day of the robbery, police said a white male approached the counter at the bank with a note demanding $100 and $50 bills.

The teller gave the actor $1,150 and he fled the scene on foot.

No weapon was identified by police as being in Pletcher’s possession at the time of the crime.

Police said they were led to Pletcher by tips after releasing a still photo of the suspect from bank surveillance that was provided to the news media.

In fact, Pletcher was identified as a suspect about 12 hours after the crime.

After making contact with Pletcher, police said they were able to determine that some of the clothing he wore matched the clothing of the robber.

A search of Pletcher’s vehicle led to the discovery of other items of clothing and sunglasses used in the robbery, police said.

Pletcher was taken into custody shortly thereafter.

He was initially jailed in default of $250,000 bail.

He entered a guilty plea on March 13.

Pletcher was also fined $1,000 and was ordered to pay restitution of $570 to the bank.

He was also assessed a fee of $250 to the DNA Detection Fund.

Finally, he will serve a period of three years’ probation following his release from prison, and he faces a future evaluation from the West Branch Drug and Alcohol Commission.
