Wayne Love running for township supervisor
Wayne E. Love, 65, of 275 German Road, Woodward Township, has announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Woodward Township supervisor in the May primary election.
Wayne grew up in the Plum Run area of the community before moving to his current residence in Woodward Township in 1991. He has lived all his life in the Swissdale area, having graduated from Lock Haven High School with the class of 1969. He worked summers on the Sorgen farms and then for his father at A.B. Love Disposal. In 1975, he and his brothers became owners of A.B. Love Disposal and he co-owned not only this business, but also G.L.W. Realty and the Mohawk Convenience Store in Dunnstown until 2004. At that time, he started his own business, Husky Hauling, Inc., and has been working as an independent business owner since that time.
Wayne has been an active member of his community for many years. He currently serves Woodward Township as the Vacancy Board chairman and is a member of the Swissdale Cemetery Association Board of Directors, holding the position of treasurer. While his sons were growing up, he served as the Cubmaster of Swissdale Pack 56 and he is a member of Swissdale United Methodist Church.
Wayne has been married to his wife, Cindy Anderson Love, for 42 years, and together they are very proud of their two sons, Troy E. Love, 36, (and his wife Lori) of Williamsport, who is the general sales manager of Fairfield Hyundai in Muncy, and Staff Sgt. Todd W. Love, 31, (and his wife Dakota) of Jacksonville, N.C., who is an active-duty 14-year member of the United States Marine Corp. Wayne is even more proud of being Pappy to his three grandsons, Aiden, 11, Hunter, 9, and Vaughn, 4.
