DEP to hold hearing on Transco Compressor Station 520 in Lycoming
SALLADASBURG — The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will hold a combined public meeting and hearing to discuss the proposed Air Quality plan approval submitted by Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Co., LLC (Transco) for construction of a combustion turbine and emergency generator at Compressor Station 520 located in Mifflin Township, Lycoming County.
The event will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 6 p.m. at Salladasburg Elementary School. The proposed project will provide the facility with additional compression capacity to support the expansion of their gas pipeline network in the region.
Staff from DEP’s Air Quality Program will explain the application review process and applicable regulations. Transco officials will provide an overview of the project. The presentations will be followed by a brief question and answer session with the local community.
DEP will accept testimony at the public hearing, which will begin at 7:15 p.m. Those wishing to testify should register on site prior to the hearing. Testimony is limited to five minutes per person and will be recorded by a court reporter for transcription into a written record.

DEP will respond in writing to all testimony, both oral and written, that is received by the above deadline and is relevant to the proposed plan approval.
