Max Ferguson elected state officer

Max Ferguson

At the 2017 Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference held in Hershey on April 2-5, Jersey Shore FBLA’s Maxwell Ferguson campaigned and was elected to the state officer position of vice president at large.

As a freshman, Max was the youngest individual to campaign for state office. In addition, the office of vice President at large had eight applicants campaigning for three elected positions.

The decision to serve as an FBLA state officer is one that sets a student apart as one of the most dedicated and driven leaders in the organization. State officers serve a one-year term and represent Pennsylvania FBLA to business leaders, education officials, community partners, and most importantly the state membership.

Max’s position of vice president at large consists of helping select the state project/charity for the 2017-2018 school year, creating a plan of work that he will be actively involved in, and filling out a monthly report to show what he completes every month. He will also assist in running the 2017 State Leadership Workshop and the 2018 State Leadership Conference.

Max would like to thank the Muncy Bank and Trust Company, McMahon and Ferguson Insurance, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ferguson for their financial support of his campaign. Max is proud to represent the Jersey Shore Area School District and the state of Pennsylvania as a State Officer during the upcoming year.
