The Sugar Valley Rural Charter School’s Community and Family Involvement Pillar Study Group is hosting a Backpack Giveaway on Wednesday, Aug. 9, from 1 to 3 p.m. on the SVRCS campus in Loganton. Due to limited quantities, the backpacks will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. The child MUST be present to receive a backpack.
The Clinton County Historical Society’s Second Sunday program on Aug. 13 will feature demonstrations of historical hand-crafts with textiles, including tatting (lace-making), cross-stitch, and hand and machine quilting. Enjoy the demonstrations in the Poorman Gallery, next door to the Heisey Museum, from 2 to 4 p.m. The program is free and open to the public.
