A home at 517 Canal St., Flemington, caught fire Friday just before 8 p.m. A scanner transmission initially described entrapment on the home’s second floor, but reports were soon altered indicating everyone had been safely evacuated. Emergency personnel worked on the second story of the building, where the fire was primary located, as seen above and above right, bottom. At top right, firefighters pause while fighting the blaze. At right, people affected by the fire hug at the porch of a nearby residence. Fire companies from both Clinton and Lycoming counties responded. During the fire, drivers were detoured off of High Street at the Huston Street/Woods Avenue light. The cause of the fire was unknown as of press time Friday night.
