Pay It Forward!
On Saturday, October 7 from 9 to 11 a.m., the Cedar Heights Church on Rte. 64, Mill Hall, is hosting its annual Pay it Forward free baby/kids goods and clothing exchange and giveaway. This is a free event to benefit the community.
Central Mountain High School will host a free community movie night Thursday, Oct. 12, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and “The Boss Baby” (PG) being shown at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. The movie, popcorn and water are all free and sponsored by the CMHS School Wide Positive Behavior program. Donations will be accepted for this family program. Children attending must be accompanied by an adult.
The Lamar United Methodist Church Women are taking orders for vegetable soup which will be ready Oct. 13 for pick up from 4 to 6 p.m. If you buy four, you get one free. This is a pre-order sale. Bring your own containers. To order, please call 570-726-3822 by Oct. 8.
Tickets are available for a chicken barbecue to be held Saturday, Oct. 21 at The Ice Shack in Mill Hall. The fundraiser benefits Flemington First Church of Christ’s HOPE Missions West. Food is available from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, and options are half a chicken or a complete meal which also includes baked beans, baked potato and roll.
