City to set administrators’ salaries

LOCK HAVEN — City Council is expected to approve the 2017 salaries of city administrators during its meeting Monday at 7 p.m. in City Hall.

This year’s salaries and wages for the city’s non-union employees are on the agenda. Over the past several years, council has waited until autumn to determine these dollar amounts, citing cash flow trends as a reason for waiting. Raises will be retroactive to Jan. 1, 2017.

Council also will consider establishing a supplemental deferred compensation retirement plan for employees. Under such a plan, the city would pay supplemental compensation (in addition to regular salaries) when the employee retires.

A review of The Boulder Beast endurance hike challenge, held in September, is on the agenda, along with a preview of The Frozen Snot coming this winter.

Council also will vote on a resolution supporting legislative efforts to allow local police to use radar to clock speeders.
