Warm Hearts Coat and

Clothing Drive is this week

LOCK HAVEN — The public is invited to donate gently worn coats, hats, gloves, mittens, sweaters to the eighth annual Warm Hearts Coat and Clothing Drive.

Any warm winter clothing would be greatly appreciated, organizers say, in any and all sizes, whether for children or adults. No summer clothing will be accepted.

Collection boxes are set up at the following locations:

r Liberty-Curtin Elementary School

r Rachel’s Dance Unlimited

r Twinkle Toes Dance Studio

r Old Beech Creek Elementary School

r Beech Creek Wesleyan Church

r Avis United Methodist Church

r Fresh Start Chiropractic.

Clothing will be given away to people in the community Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Salvation Army in Lock Haven.

Blood drive tomorrow

at Red Eye Center

FLEMINGTON –Refreshments and door prize raffles for every donor will be part of the blood drive tomorrow from 2 to 7 p.m. at The Red Eye Center. There will also be free Halloween-themed Red Cross T-shirts for all donors.

Donors may reserve a time slot by visiting www.Redcross.org.

Brady Eck is running this “Leaders Save Lives” Red Cross Blood Drive, for his senior project. He credits Weis Markets, Restless Oaks Restaurant, Best Auto Sales and Service, and Little Caesar’s for their generous donations.

Gallagher Township plans

fun Halloween event

LOCK HAVEN — The Gallagher Township Supervisors will host their second annual Trunk-or-Treat and open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the township building at 11837 Coudersport Pike.

Beverages, hot dogs, hamburgers, candy, and snacks will be provided.

Township residents are encouraged to come meet new township secretary/treasurer Heather Renninger. Mrs. Renninger said she is looking forward to meeting township residents and visitors.
