Area Christmas parades begin Saturday

The following Christmas parades are scheduled in our area.


MILL HALL –Mill Hall Kiwanis Christmas Parade, 1 p.m., Main Street to Mill Hall Fire Hall where Santa will give treats to first 150 kids (up to 10 years old). FLEMINGTON — Flemington Hi-Neighbor Christmas Parade, 3 p.m., High Street, Flemington. Line up at 2 p.m. in parking lot at St. Luke’s church, West Fourth Street. After parade, children will be greeted at Red Eye Center with first 100 kids getting candy bags. Cookies and drinks for all.


RENOVO — Flaming Foliage Christmas Parade, 1 p.m. downtown Renovo. Children may visit with Santa at the Flaming Foliage Lot afterwards.


LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven Christmas Parade, 6 p.m. Santa’s Hut in Triangle Park after the parade.

JERSEY SHORE — Christmas Parade, 2 p.m., starts at McCanna Drive near the Little League fields and marches on Allegheny Street and then up Main Street and stopping at “Santa’s House” across the street from Jersey Shore State Bank.


BEECH CREEK — The annual Santa Jump Jamboree with Santa and his elves parachuting onto the ball field at 1 p.m. (weather permitting). Vendors will be set up in the Friendship Community Center and the fire company social hall and along the grounds from the ball field to the borough building. There will be bike give-aways for three age groups and the Legion Ladies Auxiliary will be giving away turkeys and hams. Santa will meet and greet the children and hand out treats upon his arrival. Strolling characters will be on scene for photos to be taken with them throughout the day.
