Farwell residents celebrate season with light display

KEVIN RAUCH/FOR THE EXPRESS

Many of the residents of Central Avenue in Farwell will be participating in “A Little Magic In The Air” this coming Saturday night, Dec. 16, from 6-9 p.m. Growing from last December’s event, Central Avenue is brighter than ever as Christmas lights shine brightly with the Farwell residents welcoming the holiday season. Central Avenue will be closed to traffic as “light lookers” are encouraged to walk through Central Avenue to enjoy all of the activities. In addition to the lights, many residents will be offering treats of all types. Sylvia Moore and Autumn Gavlock will be singing while DJ Corey Bauer will be spinning holiday classics. No Christmas-themed event would be complete without Santa; the jolly old elf will be at 600 Central Ave. Saturday night. The drive-through tour will begin at 8:30 p.m. for those people that are unable to walk the route, but due to traffic and safety issues, treats will be for those on foot only.
