LOCK HAVEN — The Heisey House Holiday Open House will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. The public is invited to visit the 1831 historic house at 362 E. Water St. and see it decked out in holiday finery. Refreshments will be served.
The first in a series of Christmas ornaments featuring historic properties in the county will be on sale as will the commemorative Clinton County throw; both are great gift ideas.
The Heisey House is one of five historic properties cared for by the Clinton County Historical Society whose mission is to preserve and share the history of the region. FLEMINGTON — The following units were named winners in the recent Flemington Hi-Neighbor Christmas parade.
r Groups — Dirty Dabbers, first; Central Mountain High School, second; and Turbulence Twirlers, third.
r Floats — Boy Scout Troop 66’s The Misfit Toys won first place. It was the only float.
r Individuals — LeighAnn Congdon and her ponies, first place; Molly McHenry as Mary Poppins, second place; Gannon Guthrie, third place.
r Antique vehicles/miscellaneous — Leonard Wolf, first place; Jim and Harriet Brantley, second place; Calvin Stover, third place.
r Emergency equipment — Castanea Fire Co., first place; Beech Creek Fire Co., second place; Nittany Valley Fire Co., third place.
The Hi-Neighbor Committee thanks everyone who made donations for refreshments served after the parade at the Red Eye Center and for the door prizes handed out at the Flemington First Church of Christ Thanksgiving dinner for Flemington residents.
JERSEY SHORE — The 14th annual Memorial Tree Service at Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., will be held the evening of Thursday, Dec. 14.
Families who have experienced a loss in recent years will be given the opportunity to place a personalized ornament on the tree in honor of their loved one.
Registration is at 6 p.m., with the service at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven Safe Haven, a suicide awareness and advocacy group, will hold its next meeting at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 at Avenue 209 Coffee House, 209 Bellefonte Ave.
Everyone concerned about making a change in our community and learning about local resources available for mental health and suicide prevention is encouraged to attend this meeting.
