More Keystone Central voices heard

“Grand Champions” are reading students at Central Mountain Middle School, as teacher Christina Onuskanich declared to the Keystone Central School Board on Thursday night before a huge audience. Various CMMS teams from grades 6-8 competed in the interscholastic reading competition in Altoona in November and came home from the grant-funded trip with the top honor, plus first- and second-place ribbons. The group, members of which helped Onuskanich with her presentation and even spoke to the board themselves, earned a loud applause from the audience. CMMS’ top two teams were the highest scoring teams out of all of the middle school teams from the region that participated, she said.
