Winter wonderland

There was very little traffic early Wednesday morning as snow covered the downtown and most of the region. Only a scant number of vehicles were making their way up Main Street, which had not yet been plowed, and parked vehicles remained covered with snow. With the prediction of large amounts of snow, followed by sleet and freezing rain, area schools and many businesses decided Tuesday to close on Wednesday, allowing residents to sleep in on this cold snowy day. A few lonely souls were out shoveling and sweeping the fluffy white stuff, like The Express’ advertising manager Jordan McCloskey, shown sweeping the newspaper office’s walks.
