Honoring those who have served

Above, the Renovo American Legion Post 442 and the Bucktail Detachment of the Marine Corps League held Memorial Day Ceremonies throughout western Clinton County Sunday morning. The solemn services started in Hyner and went through North Bend, Farwell, Renovo, South Renovo and ended in Drury’s Run. Many in the area have their favorite memorial spot or even loved ones’ gravesite where they enjoy watching the services which includes a gun salute and the playing of TAPS. A veteran of World War II has always been present for the services as the last couple of years WWII veteran and former Renovo Mayor Donald Pagnotto (left, saluting) has been able to give the community an extra sense of pride in having him be part of the ceremonies. Below, Members of the Renovo American Legion and Bucktail Detachment of the Marine Corps League are seen on South Renovo Bridge.
