First cannabis pod cartridge hits state’s medical market

SOUTH AVIS — For the cannabis industry, it’s as big as when Pepsi-Cola challenged Coca-Cola.

The popular pod cartridge, a slick and user-friendly delivery mechanism for vaporization, is about to see a revolution, thanks to a new cannabis product offered by Terrapin Pennsylvania, located in South Avis.

TerraPod offers consumers the highest-quality products for vaporization at the most affordable prices seen in a pod cartridge delivery system.

“It’s a game-changer,” said Chris Woods, founder and chief executive of Terrapin Pennsylvania, a grower/processor of medical cannabis products that are distributed throughout Pennsylvania.

“Until now, there has been a lack of competition in the cannabis pod market, despite it being one of the most popular delivery methods out there,” Woods continued. “Terrapin Pennsylvania is thrilled to shake-up the market and offer patients additional access with more high-quality choices at a stunningly affordable price.”

Hardware related to pods has largely been limited to one company, PAX Labs. In cannabis markets outside of Pennsylvania, retail prices for pods were set at prices so high that the market limited patient access. Terrapin Pennsylvania believes prices should remain low to ensure patient access, so TerraPods will be distributed at a price point that ensures high-tech pods filled with high-quality cannabis at low prices. Much of this is thanks to industry innovation.

Jupiter Research, a Phoenix, Arizona-based distributor of inhalation technology, has come to the rescue by developing a supply chain for the brand new eagerly-awaited CCELL Dart. The pod cartridge vaporization device is the first such piece of hardware to contain CCELL technology, which embeds a heating coil 360 degrees within the ceramic core of the vaporizer to ensure uniform heat.

The device produces bigger vapor clouds with more consistent flavors and increased potency compared to a standard battery used for ordinary cartridges. Dart allows cannabis oil producers to deliver the most efficient pods ever filled. Unlike the competition, which relies on antiquated technology developed for the electronic cigarette industry, Dart is designed specifically for today’s high viscosity extracts.

The Dart battery features beautifully-designed hardware with a comfortable matte grip that fits into the palm of your hand. It pairs with a small CCELL TerraPod cartridge that is filled with cannabis oil and serves as a mouthpiece for the device when magnetically connected to the battery.

TerraPod will initially come in two forms:

r Crystal Double — An exciting new product that features Terrapin’s high-quality distillate with a whole new terpene experience. The formula uses a revolutionary new method to extract clear, Ultra High Purity (UHP) terpenes without using any solvent. The formula then incorporates these UHP terpenes into a distillate at twice the ratio of ordinary cartridges. This method allows Terrapin Pennsylvania to produce some of the purest, and most distinct flavor profiles available in the medical marijuana marketplace.

r Standard — A formula made from Terrapin’s high-quality distillate paired with in-house cannabis-derived terpenes.

TerraPod is filled by Terrapin at its Clinton County grower/processor facility. TerraPod and Dart TerraPod batteries are initially being distributed at TerraVida Holistic Center’s three Pennsylvania locations, and then at dispensaries throughout the Commonwealth.

“TerraVida Holistic Centers is excited to partner with Terrapin Pennsylvania to launch this greatly beneficial new delivery method,” said Chris Visco, founder and president of TerraVida. “The battery is sleek, discreet and simple to use, and the medicine is extremely smooth. We have many older patients for which this will greatly improve their experience.”
