Police arrest Howard
man for string of thefts
HOWARD — State Police at Rockview investigated a case of theft and receiving stolen property that has taken place for the past three years.
Police say that Thomas Lee Bowes, 36, of Howard has taken numerous items from area sheds for the past three years.
The thefts took place in Marion Walker and Walker Township, Centre County and in Porter Township, Clinton County. After several investigations, police discovered that Bowes had stolen extension cords, Christmas decorations, hand tools, power tools, re-chargeable power tools, bicycles, hunting and target bows, lawn mowers and snow shoves.
Anyone who believes that their property may be among the stolen/recovered property is asked to contact State Police at Rockview at (184) 355-7545.
Harassment alleged
CENTRE HALL — A 50-year-old East Freedom, Pa. woman was inappropriately touched by a 46-year-old Harrisburg man at The Meadows, 132 The Meadows Dr., Centre Hall, on Nov. 30 at 7 p.m., state police at Rockview said.
Both were residence of the building at the time, police said.
DUI alleged
JERSEY SHORE — Francisco Garcia, 56, of Spruce Street, Jersey Shore was arrested for driving under the influence and careless driving on the 1000 block of North Loyalsock Avenue, Loyalsock, on Oct. 13, state police at Montoursville said.
Garcia was released on $10,000 bail, police said.
Drug possession at SCI Benner
BELLEFONTE — An inmate at SCI Benner, 1 Rockview Place, Benner Township, Centre County, was found in possession of drugs during a cell search on Dec. 13, state police at Rockview said.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
