LOCK HAVEN — As many local kids were lounging around this summer, 20 dancers from Total Technique Dance Academy were working hard learning routines to dance at Disney World.

This will be Total Technique’s second time attending the Disney Performing Arts Program located at Walt Disney World.

The dancers are ages 7-18 years old and are led by Jen Rumbalski, Holly Knepp and Annette Wockenfuss. They will continue with extra rehearsals outside their regular dance classes until early December. Then, along with family and friends, they will make the trip to Orlando where they will perform a 20-minute showcase at Disney Springs on Dec. 20.

They have been working very hard fundraising to help make this day possible. Not only do the families have traveling costs, but they also have to pay for the costumes and charter a private bus for the day of the performance.

One of the final fundraisers is coming up on Nov. 10. The dancers will be holding a “Christmas Cash Bingo” at Wayne Township Fire Hall. All prizes are cash prizes, and over $2,000 will be given away. Tickets are on sale for $25. The cost will be $30 at the door. If you would be interested in purchasing a ticket, please reach out to one of the dancers or call Tabitha at 570-295-6198.
