Golden Crowned Kinglet topic of Audubons
A Golden Crowned Kinglet, like the one pictured, will be the topic at the next meeting of the Lycoming Audubon group. Carmeron Fiss, a biologist with IUP Research Institute, will present the program on “Golden-winged Warbler Ecology.” The golden-winged warbler population is in serious decline, and Fiss will discuss ongoing research into the habitat needs of this beautiful songbird. The event will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, in the Lowry Room on the third floor of the Welch wing in the J.V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., Williamsport.
