Hike the Nature Trail

On Wednesday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m., there will be a “Hike the Nature Trail” program at Ole Bull State Park. Join the park naturalist for an evening walk along the Nature Trail at Ole Bull. There will be a discussion about the flora and fauna seen along the trail as well as the history of the area. There will also be a look into trail information and etiquette. All children must be accompanied by an adult. In the event of inclement weather, there may be an alternative program offered. Meet at Pavilion #4 (Stone Pavilion).

Walk Along Kettle Creek

On Wednesday, July 18, at 1:30 p.m., there will be a “Walk Along Kettle Creek” at Kettle Creek State Park. Join the naturalist for an afternoon walk along the loop trail. Some of the flora and fauna seen along the trail will be discussed. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the Nature Center in the Lower Campground. There will be a drive up to the Equestrian Campground just north of the park office.

Geocaching Games

On Friday, July 20, at 3 p.m., there will be “Geocaching Games” at Kettle Creek State Park. Join park staff for a fun day of geocaching. There will be learning opportunities on marking and finding waypoints, on operating a handheld GPS, and more. GPS units will be provided by the park. This program is for people of all ages; however, children will need the help of an adult in order to participate. In the event of inclement weather, there will be an alternative program. Meet at the Nature Center.
