At the Parks
On Saturday, August 25, at 3:30 p.m., there will be a “Stream Stomp” at Ole Bull State Park. Join the park naturalist and dive into an underwater community to find some different aquatic insects that call this creek home. Meet at Pavilion #4 (Stone Pavilion).
On Saturday, August 25, at 8 p.m., there will be a program on “Pennsylvania’s Venomous and Non-Venomous Snakes” at Ole Bull State Park. Join the park naturalist to learn about some Pennsylvania snakes, both venomous and non-venomous, and also learn to appreciate the role they have in nature. Topics will include the myths that have come up, diets, habitat, and more. Meet at the amphitheater.
On Friday, August 31, at 8 p.m., there will be a program at Ole Bull State Park called “Terrific Turtles.” Join the park naturalist to dive into the world of turtles. Some of the topics that will be covered include different turtles that are found in Pennsylvania, their adaptations, and their diet. This program will also have a craft. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the amphitheater.
