Underage possession

LOCK HAVEN – Dustin M. Hartman, 20, of Lock Haven, was cited by state police for underage possession and transportation during a Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement patrol in the city at 7:22 p.m. Jan. 12.

Police said criminal charges are pending for one adult furnisher.

Hit and run

LOCK HAVEN – City police are investigating a hit and run accident that occurred at 8:49 a.m. Jan. 15 at the corner of Vesper Street and East Church Street.

Police said a red sedan and white van were involved in the crash with the van striking a traffic signal pole.

No injuries

LOCK HAVEN – There were no injuries in a two vehicle crash at 8:20 p.m. Jan. 15 at the intersection of Bellefone Avenue and Commerce Street.

City police report the drivers were Penny Ellis of Loganton and Steven Condo of Mill Hall. Damage was minor.

Criminal mischief

DUNNSTOWN – Six mailboxes in the Crist Trailer Court, Woodward Township, were reported damaged between 7 p.m. Jan. 14 and 3:50 p.m. Jan. 15, according to Woodward Township police.

One of the mailboxes was pried open, police said.

No brakes

MILESBURG- Lee T. Lyter of Milesburg escaped injury when his car’s brakes failed and the vehicle traveled into his front yard and down an embankment and overturned on its roof.

State police at Rockview said Lyter had just changed the brakes on his Hyundai and was backing out of his garage when he attempted to apply the brakes and they did not work.

The accident occurred at 5:15 p.m. Jan. 14 at his residence on Dry Top Road.

Two vehicle accident

LOCK HAVEN – City police investigated a two-vehicle accident at 8:49 a.m. Jan. 15 at East Church and Vesper streets.

Drivers were Joshua Beach of Tioga and Eric Merrifield of Mill Hall. Both vehicles were towed from the scene with front end damage, police said.
