Credit card fraud

BELLEFONTE – State police at Rockview are investigating an access device fraud incident that occurred around 5:53 p.m. Dec. 17 when a calendar was purchased from Shutterfly with the credit card of an unidentified 44-year-old Benner Township womand, Tpr. Andrew S. Mills said in a release dated Monday.

The calendar was mailed to a Lancaster address, police said.

Tree struck

RAUCHTOWN – Matthew D. Hartman, 40, of Jersey Shore was in an accident on Jan. 18 at about 5:44 p.m. on Pine Woods Road, Limestone Township, Tpr. Troy Hansen of the state police at Lamar reports.

Hartman was traveling west on Pine Woods Road, approaching a left curve, when he attempted to reduce speed and he began sliding on the icy roadway, police said.

Hartman, who was driving a 2002 Dodge Durango, traveled over the north fog line of the road and struck a tree, police said.

He was not injured in the accident, but was charged for failure to drive at safe speeds, police said.

Prescription stolen

MUNCY – Samantha Stewart, 28, of 403 1/2 Oak St., Jersey Shore, is being charged for allegedly stealing prescription medication from Lisa Oday, 45, of 528 Ruben Kehrer Road, Muncy, sometime between Nov. 13 and Nov. 17, 2014, Tpr. Travis C. Pena of the state police at Montoursville reports.
