LOCK HAVEN – Sean Lawrence Yarrish, 33, of 125 1/2 Main St., has asked for a preliminary hearing accompanying charges of statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors and aggravated indecent assault of a 13-year-old girl.
The hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. in Clinton County Central District Court. Yarrish remains incarcerated in the Clinton County Correctional Facility where he will remain in default of $75,000 bail, pending arraignment in Clinton County Court.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, state police were forwarded the case from Clinton County Children and Youth Services on Feb. 4, 2014.
Police said the case involved consensual sexual intercourse between Yarrish and the teen, who snuck out of her home and went to Yarrish’s apartment that February.
The victim said she had known Yarrish for more than three years.
Once at the apartment, police said, text messages of a graphic nature were exchanged.
Somewhat later, the juvenile left the apartment, and returned 15 minutes later, whereupon the door opened to a naked Yarrish.
Sexual intercourse occurred.
The victim’s mother provided police investigators with the articles of clothing worn that night in question, and they were turned over to the Pennsylvania State Police Laboratory in Harrisburg for processing.
Rachael E. Rodriguez, a forensic scientist from the DNA division in Greensburg, said one sample taken was believed to be consistent with a sample provided by Yarrish.
Yarrish absconded from custody in November 2014 and a warrant was issued on March 18, 2015.
