Fugitive from justice

SNOW SHOE – State police at Rockview have taken a fugitive from justice into custody.

Police said Jason C. Skinner, 41, of Columbus, Ohio, was found walking along Interstate 80 in Snow Shoe Township, Centre County, at 2:30 a.m. June 15.

Skinner had an active warrant for a stolen vehicle in New Jersey. State police recovered that vehicle on I-80.

DUI alleged

MILL HALL – A 21-year-old man was arrested by state police at Lamar following a one-vehicle crash on Route 150, three miles west of Mill Hall at 3:55 p.m. June 13.

Police said when they responded to the accident it was determined that the driver was under the influence of a controlled substance. Charges are pending results of a blood test.

Serious injuries

BEECH CREEK – Christa Shinn, 41, of Coudersport, and a 16-year-old boy were transported to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with injuries suffered in a one-car accident at 12:42 p.m. June 13 on Route 144 in Noyes Township.

State police said Shinn was the driver of a PT Cruiser with four passengers and was traveling too fast as she attempted to negotiate a right hand curve in the road. The car crossed the roadway and struck a tree head on, police said.

The other three passengers, ages 16, 12 and 11, had minor injuries, police said.

Harassment charged

SALONA – A 27-year-old McElhattan woman has been charged with harassment after she allegedly assaulted a 27-year-old Lock Haven man and a 25-year-old Lock Haven woman at 98 Racetrack Road, Lamar Township.

State police at Lamar said the incident occurred at 9:38 p.m. June 10.

Minor injuries

SALONA – A 17-year-old male from Mill Hall was injured when his Hyundai left Kyrder Road and went down an embankment before flipping and rolling over, state police at Lamar report.

Police said the teen was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center with minor injuries following the accident which occurred at 4:54 p.m. June 14.

Criminal mischief

CASTANEA – Charles C. Colucci of Castanea reported that the side window of his 2011 Kia Sedona was smashed while parked in his driveway at 10 Fleming Ave., Castanea, overnight last Friday.

Nothing appeared to be stolen, state police said.

Theft of bucket

FLEMINGTON – State police at Lamar are investigating the reported theft of a bucket from Papa John’s Pizza on High Street at about 2:30 p.m. June 7.

Police said two suspects, both white males, in a red Toyota Tacoma, parked at the pizza shop and one of them took a plastic janitorial bucket from the pizza shop. They fled in the truck and the passenger was observed throwing the bucket from the truck a few blocks away, police said.

Retail theft

MILL HALL – State police at Lamar have charged Autumn Danielle Geyer, Rauchtown Road, Jersey Shore, with retail theft following an incident at the WalMart on Hogan Boulevard on March 10, 2016.

Police said Geyer attempted to conceal and walk out of the store without paying for $298.82 worth of merchandise while shopping there. She was detained by two WalMart Loss Prevention employs and “body bumped” the two workers.

She was charged with one count of retail theft and two counts of harassment. Geyer was arraigned and released on $1,500 secured bail.

Underage drinking

LOCK HAVEN – Three teenagers – a Jersey Shore male, 16; a Jersey Shore female, 16; and a Lock Haven female, 18 – have been charged with underage consumption of alcohol.

State police at Lamar report the three were consuming alcohol on Fryer Lane in Dunnstable Township at 11:16 p.m. June 13.

Harassment charged

BEECH CREEK – State police at Lamar are investigating a report of harassment that occurred at 1029 Eagle Valley Road, Beech Creek Township, at 12:19 a.m. June 12.

Police said a man, 38, and a woman, 36, both of Beech Creek, were involved in a verbal disagreement when the man punched the woman in the face. The woman then struck the man in the leg with an ashtray, police said.

Two charged with harassment

NORTH BEND – A 30-year-old North Bend man has been charged with harassment after he allegedly swung a golf club at a 29-year-old woman during a verbal disagreement at 29 N. Maple Ave., Chapman Township, at 12:07 a.m. June 13.

Police said the man swung a golf club at the woman.

Theft by deception

LOCK HAVEN – Kyle Robert Young of Lock Haven reported to state police at Lamar that he was contacted by a man and woman who said they were “from the government” and that he owed the government money.

He said they told him to purchase iTunes cards and give the iTunes information to them to pay his debt. Young purchased $935 in iTunes cards and provided the information to the suspects.

The public is advised that the U.S. government, state government and local government do not ask people to purchase any types of cards to pay off debt.

Retail theft

MILL HALL – Kathryn Joann Allegretto of Howard has been charged by state police at Lamar with retail theft.

Police said Allegretto concealed $49.60 worth of merchandise while shopping at WalMart. She passed all the points of sale and was detained by WalMart Loss Prevention Personnel.

She was arraigned and released on $1,500 unsecured bond.

Vehicle stolen

RENOVO – A 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 was stolen between May 20 and 23 in Chapman Township, Tpr. Matt Maggs of the state police at Lamar said.

Police said Joshua Scott Winkleman, 25, of Renovo stole the vehicle, which was found in his possession in Georgia.

Bail was set at $10,000.

The vehicle is owned by Brian Mills, 55, of North Bend.
