Vehicles crash into deer
JERSEY SHORE — There were two auto accidents involving deer crossing Route 220 in Woodward Township Sunday and Friday, state police said.
A one-vehicle accident occurred Sunday on Route 220 in Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Tpr. Luke Jolley of the state police at Montoursville said.
Police said Eric Shilling, 49, of Mill Hall was driving south in the right lane when a deer ran out from the side of the road. Shilling and his passenger, Dyann Shilling, 49, of Mill Hall, were not injured.
On Friday, Tpr. Paul McGee of the state police at Montoursville, said Denise Johnson, 37, of Loganton, was driving north when her 2013 Kia Rio crashed into a deer crossing the highway.
There were no injuries and all the occupants wore seatbelts, police said.
Vehicles collide on I-80
LOYALSOCK — A 2016 Freightliner collided with a 2003 Subaru Legacy on Interstate 80 in Loyalsock Township Nov. 14, Tpr. Mark McDermott of the state police at Montoursville said.
Police said Bruce E. Rung, 53, of Jersey Shore was driving his rig east, as was Sanford Shadle Jr. of Muncy, when the Rung tractor attempted to merge into the right lane and collided with the Shadle Subaru, which was already in the right lane.
The car skidded out of control and came to rest against the concrete median barrier.
A 15-year-old female passenger in Shadle’s auto was treated at the scene for minor injuries, police said.
JERSEY SHORE — Jeremy Golding, 39, of 126 1/2 Oliver St., Jersey Shore was charged by Tiadaghton Valley Regional police with aggravated and simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment for allegedly punching Shawn Arno in the left side of his face, fracturing his eye socket after the two got off a bus in the 1300 block of Walnut Street in the borough on Oct. 22. He was jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail.
JERSEY SHORE — Stephen Jeffrey Casale, 47, of 414 S. Broad St., Jersey Shore, was charged by Tiadaghton Valley Regional police with terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment following a disturbance in which he allegedly alarmed a neighbor by shining a flashlight in the person’s bedroom window and then displayed a loaded handgun on his front porch about 7:30 a.m. Oct. 21. He was sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
JERSEY SHORE — Kimberly J, Gibson, 46, of 304 Gibrock Lane, Jersey Shore, was charged by Tiadaghton Valley Regional police with misdemeanor shoplifting for allegedly stealing $3 worth of merchandise from Smoker’s Express, 350 Allegheny St., on Oct. 17. She was sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
