Fiery crash

CENTRE COUNTY — On I-80 westbound near mile marker 155, on Tuesday, April 18 at 11:51 p.m., a commercial vehicle driven by Darwin Sabando, 45, of Clifton, N.J., struck another commercial vehicle, driven by Tony Wayne Pesicka, 42, of Des Moines, Iowa, from behind, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Rockview.

Pesicka’s trailer suffered rear end damage, while Sabando’s vehicle became fully engulfed in fire and suffered disabling damage, and both drivers sustained injuries and were transported by EMS, police said.

Vehicle scratcher

LOCK HAVEN — Sometime between Saturday, April 15, and Monday, April 17, an unknown person scratched an unidentified person’s vehicle in Williamson Heights, according to Lock Haven city police.

High speed pursuit

JERSEY SHORE — Quentin I. Hale, 27, of 516 Meadow Alley, Jersey Shore, was charged by Muncy Police with fleeing police, resisting arrest, reckless driving and related offenses following a high speed pursuit that began in the 400 block of South Main Street in Muncy and ended near Washingtonville about 12:46 a.m. on Saturday. He was jailed in lieu of $150,000 bail.

Pepper spraying man

JERSEY SHORE — Sarah J. Allison, 24, of 400 S. Broad St., Jersey Shore, was charged by Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police with simple assault for allegedly pepper spraying Damien Obrien in the eyes at Broad and Thompson streets on Feb. 28. She was released on $5,000 bail.

Providing alcohol to a minor

JERSEY SHORE — Jason M. Welch, 40, of 342 Pine St., Jersey Shore, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of the morals of a minor and furnishing alcohol to a minor for allegedly providing alcohol to a minor on several occasions in the borough in February. He is free on $25,000 bail.
