Truck hits vehicle

LOCK HAVEN — Ronald Tatrai, of Cross Fork, struck a Weis Market sign and a parked vehicle and then drove onto the sidewalk on Commerce Street on Sept. 12, city police said.

Tatrai was northbound on Commerce Street and while turning into the Weis parking lot, a camper he was hauling struck with his pickup truck struck the sign. He then drove east on the sidewalk and made a left turn into the parking lot, where he hit a vehicle owned by Patricia Fickes, of Howard, police said.

Two-vehicle collision

LOCK HAVEN — On Sept. 5, Zierra L. Badillo, of Philadelphia, was driving on West Main Street when her vehicle was struck by a car driven by Chelsea L. Shelander, of Eldred, Pa., city police said.

Shelander told police that she had stopped at the stop sign on Third Street at the intersection of West Main Street, waited a couple of seconds as traffic passed and then proceeded into the intersection into th path of Badillo’s vehicle.

Damage was minor to Badillo’s 2005 Nissan Altima and disabling to Shelander’s 2-10 Ford Focus, police said.

One vehicle accident

BELLEFONTE — On Sept. 11 at around 7:30 p.m., Wendell Roby Jr., 25, of Rockford, Ill., crashed his truck on Old Fort Road, north of smith Drive.

State police at Rockview said Roby was southbound and veered off the side of the roadway, sideswiping a guiderail. The vehicle continued on hitting a utility pole head-on. The pole was severed in half and was resting on the truck with the wires hanging across the roadway blocking both lanes, police said.

The driver was wearing his seat belt and was not injured, police said.

Penns Valley EMS and Centre Hall Fire Department responded to the scene.

Underage drinking

BELLEFONTE– A 20-year-old woman from Rebersburg was charged by state police at Rockview with underage drinking.

Police said the woman was pulled over in the 3900 block of Penns Valley Road in Gregg Township for a traffic violations and found to have been drinking.

The incident occurred at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 30.

DUI suspected

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview stopped a car with an inoperable headlight at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 9 on Stonecrest Drive, just off Benner Pike, and suspected that the 33-year-old male driver was driving under the influence.

Police said charges are pending.

License plate stolen

BELLEFONTE — On Aug. 30, a 27-year-old man from Duncannon reported his license plate stolen at 170 Upper Georges Valley Road.

State police at Rockview investigated the report and found two suspects — a 19-year-old male from Spring Mills and a 19-year-old male from Lewistown — had taken the plate off the vehicle and placed it on an unregistered vehicle. Charges are pending, police said.

Teen comes clean

BELLEFONTE — A 19-year-old male told state police at Rockview he wanted to come clean and handed a trooper a bong with suspected marijuana at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 12, at his residence on Penn Street, just off Spring Street.

Theft of guns

BELLEFONTE — A Bellefonte man reported three hand guns were stolen from his residence at 150 Dunkle Road, Walker Township, between Aug. 26 and Sept. 1, according to state police at Rockview. There are no suspects, police said.

Credit card stolen

BELLEFONTE — A 37-year-old woman from Bellefonte told state police at Rockview that she noticed several unauthorized charges on her credit card after losing it at Millbrook Marsh, 548 Puddintown Road, in State College. Police said the cards were taken from her motor vehicle.
