City man accused

of terroristic threats

LOCK HAVEN — A 60-year-old Lock Haven man has been charged by city police with assault and making threats.

Michael S. Killinger, 60, of 13 Bridge St., is charged with simple assault and terroristic threats following an incident at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at North Fairview Street and Iron Alley, police said.

Killinger assaulted a 61-year-old white male by striking him several times in the shoulder and upper back, police allege.

Killinger also threatened to kill the victim and his wife.

He was taken into custody and committed to the Clinton County Correctional Facility, police said.

Police: Teen

drove too fast

for conditions

LOCK HAVEN — Four people were injured when a car driven by a 16-year-old girl rolled over on Queens Run Road late Friday night, state police at Lamar report.

Police said the operator was driving too fast on the tar-and-chipped road when the crashed occurred just before midnight, state police said.

Her speed caused the car to fishtail, police said, as the driver lost control and the vehicle roll over completely once, coming to rest on the driver side as it began to make a second roll, police said.

The driver had three passengers, including a 17-year-old female minor, and two others, Alexis Walter-Embrick, 18, of Lock Haven, and Dakota Radford, 18, of Lock Haven, police said.

All were injured and taken to Lock Haven Hospital, police said.

Suspected DUI

SHOW SHOE — Just before midnight on Sunday, Sept. 24, a 48-year-old female suspect was taken into custody and transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for a legal blood draw following a traffic stop at mile marker 149 on I-80 west, in Show Shoe Twp., Rockview State Police said. Charges are pending.

Lane swerving

causes crash

LINDEN — Devon Whitehill, 21, of Trout Run, drifted into an adjacent lane while driving north on Route 220 near Henry’s Bar-B-Q, causing Keith Hall, 38, of Jersey Shore, to have to brake hard and swerve to avoid a collision, state police said.

However, Hall’s vehicle struck the passenger side of a vehicle driven by William Weigle, 34, of Williamsport, police said.

Weigle was at the crossover, waiting a chance to turn, according to state police at Montoursville. Whitehill was charged by police with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Rear-ended

JERSEY SHORE — On Thursday, Sept. 21, at 4:20 p.m., Thomas Calhoun, 34, of Brockway, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Debra Mutchler, 63, of Jersey Shore, as she was legally parked on Spook Hollow Road due to traffic, state police at Montoursville said.

Neither driver was injured, although Calhoun’s vehicle suffered disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. Mutchler’s Subaru Outback only suffered minor damage to its trunk gate, according to police.

Careless

driving alleged

ZION — A vehicle driven by George Wagner, 66, of Mill Hall, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Isaac Putnam, 40, of Bellefonte, on Friday at 4:07 p.m., when Putname’s vehicle was stationary in the travel lane on Route 64, just north of its intersection with Krape Lane, state police at Rockview reported.

Police said that no injuries were reported, and that Wagner was charged with careless driving.

Retail theft alleged

MILL HALL — A Bellefonte woman has been charged with trying to steal nearly $400 worth of items from the Walmart Supercenter in Bald Eagle Township, state police at Lamar said.

Police allege that Kimberly Ann Bilger, 46, of Bellefonte, walked past the point of sale at the Supercenter carrying two luggage bags with $380.83 worth of various merchandise hidden within them. The crime occurred about 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, police said.

Break-in at camp

RENOVO — A camp at 84 Dings Lane, in Leidy Twp., owned by Sam Taylor, 42, of Harrisburg, was burglarized sometime between Sept. 6 and 21, according to state police at Lamar.

A chainsaw, weed trimmer, socket set, reciprocating saw, circular saw, hot dog roasters, and a bottle of Captain Morgan’s Rum were taken, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Lamar at 570-726-6000.

Currency theft

FLEMINGTON — Someone removed U.S. currency belonging to Susanrae Fox, 45, of 522 Frederick St., sometime between 6:45 and 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, state police at Lamar reported. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Lamar.

Motorcyclist injured

BEECH CREEK — Frank Rostic, 63, of Ontario, was operating his motorcycle on Halls Run Road at White Pine Trail on Friday when a deer ran in front of his bike, causing him to hit the deer, lose control of the bike and hit an embankment, according to state police at Lamar.

Rostic was wearing his helmet but suffered minor injuries, police said. The accident occurred about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20.

at Route 64

MILL HALL — An 18-year-old driver pulled out in front of a vehicle at Main Street and Route 64 last Wednesday, causing a collision, state police at Lamar said.

Ryley Breon, of Bellefonte, was stopped at the stop sign when he pulled out in front of a vehicle driven a 17-year-old female from Mill Hall about 7:40 p.m. last Wednesday, police said. Breon had three passengers, Isaac Dorman, 18, of Bellefonte; Jaiden Boone, 18, of Pleasant Gap, and Dylanjer Thomas, 19, of Howard, police said, but none were injured, police reported.

Theft from porch

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven police are investigating the reported theft of a rocking chair and plant stolen from a home in the 300 block of South Fairview Street between midnight and 9 a.m. Sept. 23.

Retail theft alleged

LOCK HAVEN — Jennifer Rafter, 34, of 656 E. Main Street, was committed to the Clinton County Correctional Facility after she allegedly stole about $35 worth of items from the Weis Market, 315 W. Bald Eagle St., city police reported. The incident occurred last week, police said.

Three charged

LOCK HAVEN — City police investigated several incidents of drunkenness and disorderly conduct over the past few days, including a loud party in the city.

Police said Matthew Etters, 36, of 42 Natures Drive, was charged with public drunkenness for an incident at 10:48 p.m. on Saturday.

Etters was found under the influence of a controlled substance and was knocking on shed doors, police allege. He was also seeing things and found to have several warrants against him, police said. He was taken to the Clinton County Correctional Facility.

Separately, Levi Confer of Beech Creek was cited for disorderly conduct at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 24 at McDonald’s on Bellefonte Avenue, city police said.

And Morgan Russell, of 137 N. Fairview St., was cited by police for disorderly conduct for allowing a loud party at her residence that resulted in two noise complaints. Police said the incident occurred at 1:33 a.m. Sept. 23.
