Three hurt in crash

LOCK HAVEN — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday, Oct. 16, at 6:17 p.m. on Route 44 North, near Zinck Fork Road in Cummings Township, according to state police at Montoursville.

Drivers were Robert L. Lockcuff, 55, of Montoursville, and Walter W. Palmeter, 73, of Lock Haven.

Both drivers and a passenger in Palmeter’s car, Dona Palmeter, 63, of Lock Haven, were injured and transported to Jersey Shore Hospital.

Police said the crash occurred as Lockcuff was southbound on Route 44 and Palmeter was northbound. As Lockcuff was negotiating a right curve several deer entered the southbound lane of travel. As Lockcuff swerved to miss the deer he struck Palmeter’s vehicle head-on, police said.

Minor injuries

JERSEY SHORE — Mark Palmatier, 59, of Jersey Shore, suffered minor injuries when the 2008 Mack he was driving struck the edge of a bridge on Route 414 in Brown Township at 11:49 a.m. Oct. 11, according to state police at Montoursville.

Two-vehicle accident

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven police investigated a two-vehicle accident at the entrance to MacDonald’s on Bellefonte Avenue at 1:16 p.m. Oct. 16.

Drivers were Michael Peterson of Cogan Station and James Zuback of Mill Hall, police said.

The Peterson vehicle, a 2014 ford Focus, had a broken window and scrape on the passenger side, and Zuback’s Ford Transit had damage to the front bumper, police said.

There were no injuries, police said.

Disorderly conduct

LOCK HAVEN — Jonathan C. Dale, 35, of 445 S. Fairview St., was charged with disorderly conduct by Lock Haven police at 2 p.m. Oct. 5, after allegedly yelling profanities and throwing things at Fox’s Restaurant.

Unsworn falsification

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview are investigating an incident at J&E Guns, Spring Township, when a suspect known to police attempted to purchase a firearm, but was denied.

Damaged vehicle

CENTRE HALL — Sometime between Monday, Oct. 16 at 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m., unknown actor(s) damaged an 82-year-old woman’s vehicle, which was parked at the 200 block of North Hoffer Avenue in Centre Hall, state police at Rockview said.

Suspected DUI

BELLEFONTE — A 38-year-old woman from Clearfield stopped for a traffic violation on SR-144 Eagle Valley Road overpass on Monday, Oct. 16, at 11:52 p.m., is suspected of driving under the influence and was subsequently taken for a blood draw, according to Rockview state police. The investigation continues.

Narcotics smuggling

BELLEFONTE — Suspects known to the police attempted to smuggle suspected narcotics into the State Correctional Institution in Benner Township on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 11:45 a.m., Rockview state police reported. The investigation continues.

Drug paraphernalia

WILLIAMSPORT — Joshua E. Solt, 28, of Howard, was charged by Williamsport city police with possession of drug paraphernalia and two charges of possession of controlled substances when police found meth and heroin in his car after he was arrested on prior warrants. He was sent summons to appear before a district judge.

Drug charges

WILLIAMSPORT — Shane M. Brown, 33, of 400 Railroad St., Jersey Shore, was charged by Williamsport city police with drug paraphernalia and manufacturing of a controlled substance at 1201 Park Ave., Williamsport, on March 10. He was jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail.
