Harassment charges

RENOVO — Charles William Miller, 48, of Renovo, was charged by state police at Lamar with harassment following an altercation at a residence on Gratzmer Avenue in Noyes Township.

Police said they were called to the residence at 4 p.m. Oct. 7 after Miller attempted to strike Donna May Strout, 73, of Renovo and then threatened to assault her.

Charges were filed through the office of District Judge Frank Mills, police said.

DUI alleged

LOCK HAVEN — A 25-year-old man from Three Springs was stopped by state police at Lamar at 2:50 a.m. Oct. 7 in the 800 block of Bellefonte Avenue.

Police said the driver was stopped for multiple traffic violations and is believed to have been driving under the influence.

Charles will be filed pending blood results, police said.

DUI alleged

CASTANEA — State police at Lamar stopped a vehicle operated by Anthony J. Marchese, 35, address not listed, in Castanea Township at 1:35 a.m. Oct. 8.

Police said Marchese was stopped for a traffic violation and is believed to have been driving under the influence.

No injuries in crash

LAMAR — State police at Lamar investigated a two-vehicle accident at 4:28 p.m. Oct. 4 on Nittany Valley Driver near Peach Orchard Road in Lamar Township.

Drivers were Elliot M. Henry, 28, of Sandy Ridge and Jasa L. Jeffers, 24, of Bellefonte. Neither driver nor a passenger in Jeffers’ vehicle, Christopher M. Shawley, 34, of Bellefonte, were injured, police said.

Police said both vehicles were south on Nittany Valley Drive when the 2017 Jeep driven by Henry struck the rear of Jeffers’ 2003 Jeep as Jeffers was making a right turn onto Peach Orchard Road.

Man alarms children

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven city police are investigating a report that a black male with blue glasses approached children in the playground at Williamson Heights at about 11 a.m. Oct. 7, and made crude remarks to the youngsters.

Police said anyone with information is asked to contact city police at 570-748-5911.

One-car accident

BEECH CREEK — State police at Rockview responded to a one-vehicle accident at 2:34 a.m. Oct. 7 in the 5300 block of North Eagle Valley Road in Liberty Township.

Police said the driver, Lea A. Cassidy, 30, of Howard was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center by Beech Creek Emergency Medical Services for treatment of unknown injuries.

Details of the accident were not listed on the police report.
