Marijuana possession

SNOW SHOE — A 22-year-old man from Dubois was found in possession of marijuana, state police at Rockview said.

The incident occurred on Nov. 24 at about 3:30 p.m. on Interstate 80 East near mile marker 141 where the suspect have been stopped for a speeding violation, police said.

An odor of marijuana was detected and a probable cause search ensued, police said.

Marijuana was found in the suspect’s pocket and charges will be filed, police said.

Cloned phone numbers

WOODWARD — Woodward Township police are to aware of the ability of thieves to clone telephone numbers and pose as a business after an incident that occurred on Nov. 21 at about 11 a.m.

According to police a local resident had received a phone call from an unknown male, believed to be Hispanic speaking voice, claiming they had an outstanding debt with their business.

The caller ID had indicated a number for a local business in Lock Haven, police said.

The resident went to the business and was informed that there was no outstanding bill and nobody from the business had called them, police said.

Police encourage residents to question the caller and verify who they are speaking with.

Contact your local police agency should you have further concerns, police said.

DUI alleged

BELLEFONTE — A 64-year-old Howard woman may face DUI charges after an incident that occurred on Nov. 22 at about 11:30 p.m., state police at Rockview said.

The suspect had entered a sobriety checkpoint on Route 150 near TA truck stop in Boggs Twp. where is was subsequently determined the suspect was under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Charges pending blood results, police said.
