Marijuana possession

MONTOURSVILLE — A Fairfield Township man was charged with violating Act 64, state police at Montoursville said.

Joshua Grant Gordner, 41, was found to be in possession of marijuana plants, a small amount of processed marijuana and related paraphernalia on Oct. 30 at about 7 p.m., police said.

Gordner was incarcerated in Lycoming County Prison on a probation detainer.

Charges were filed through district court.

Harassment

BELLEFONTE — A Bellefonte woman was cited for harassment, state police at Rockview said.

Cynthia Baker Spangler, 61, of Bellefonte, is accused of coming onto the victim’s property on the 1000 Block of Valley View Road, Benner Twp., and attempting to start a confrontation with the 30-year-old woman, police said.

The incident occurred on Nov. 20 at about 5:30 p.m., police said.

Money stolen

MONTOURSVILLE — Robert Rine, 48, of Millville, was the victim of theft between the hours of 9 p.m. and 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 and 12, state police at Montoursville said.

The theft occurred at 6754 Route 118 in Franklin Twp. where an unknown suspect went into Rine’s unlocked vehicle and stole his cash. The suspect then fled the scene, police said.

Utility pole struck

BELLEFONTE — An unknown driver struck a utility pole on Nov. 17 at about 10 p.m., state police at Rockview said.

The driver was travelling south on Greenbriar Gap Road when they failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway, police said.

The vehicle drove off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole, shearing it off. The vehicle fled the scene, police said.

Vehicle strikes guardrail

PLEASANT GAP — A vehicle struck a guardrail after the driver swerved to miss a deer, state police at Rockview said.

Guanglong Hu, 29, of State College, was travelling south on I-99 near the Pleasant Gap exit when he swerved to miss a deer that had run into the roadway, police said.

Hu’s vehicle, a 2011 Chrysler 300, traveled off the left side of the roadway and into the median before striking the backside of the guardrail for the southbound lanes under the overpass, police said.

Hu was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.

DUI alleged

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview are investigating a possible DUI that occurred on Nov. 1 at about 12 a.m.

The incident occurred on I-99 North in the area of mile marker 75, Benner Twp., where police had pulled over Curtis David Scherrer, 21, of Bellefonte, due to a traffic violation, police said.

Scherrer was subsequently arrested for DUI, but the investigation still continues, police said.

One-vehicle crash

SNOW SHOE — A vehicle ended up on its roof after a crash on I-80 near mile marker 149.2, state police at Rockview said.

Dennis Shin, 51, of Arlington Heights, Ill., was travelling west on I-80 when he applied his brakes, causing the vehicle to lose traction, police said.

Shin’s vehicle travelled left into the left lane, back across the right lane and off the right side of the roadway where it struck an embankment and then flipped over onto it’s roof, police said.

Shin was not injured and was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.

Disorderly conduct

LOCK HAVEN — Nichole Vincent, of 711 Linden St., was cited for harassment, city police said.

The incident occurred on Nov. 17 at about 6 p.m. when Vincent was involved in an altercation during a custody exchange, police said.

Found cellphone

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview are looking for the owner of a cellphone that was found.

The Galazy S8 cell phone at the intersection of Buffalo Run Road and Crestview Drive, Benner Twp, police said.
