Vehicle rear ended

CENTRE HALL — A two vehicle crash occurred on Jan. 16 at about 5 p.m. on Earlystown Road where it intersects with Hoot Road in Potter Township, Centre county, state police at Rockview said.

Frederick C. Lingle, of Aaronsburg, was stopped on Earlystown Road facing west to turn left onto Hoot Road when a vehicle driven by Susan C. Eshelman, of Port Matilda, failed to stop and her vehicle struck Lingle’s vehicle, police said.

Eshelman’s vehicle was disabled on the roadway blocking the west lane of traffic while Lingle’s vehicle was able to move onto Hoot Road, police said.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident but Eshelman did claim to have chest pain due to the airbag but denied EMS treatment, police said.

Eshelman’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Kuppel’s Towing, police said.

PennDOT and the Centre Hall Fire Department assisted on the scene, police said.

Eshelman was given a citation for driving vehicle at safe speed, police said.

Two vehicle crash

BELLEFONTE — No one was injured in a two vehicle crash that occurred on Jan. 22 at about 8 p.m. on I-80, state police at Rockview said.

Tonya E. Watson, 50, of Berlin, Pa., was traveling in the right lane of I-80 near mile marker 170.6 when another vehicle driven by Aliaksandr Savitski, 59, of Hanover Park, Ill., attempted to pass her in the left lane, police said.

Savitski’s vehicle struck Watson’s as he began to leave his lane of travel, causing her vehicle to spin out, police said.

Watson’s vehicle crossed over the left lane of travel and came to final rest approximately 10 feet off the left lane of travel, police said.

Savitski was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.

Gasoline stolen

CENTRE HALL — State police at Rockview are investigating two incidents of gas being stolen at Snappy’s Gas Station on 2892 Earlystown Rd., Potter Twp., Centre county.

r One incident occurred on Jan. 22 at about 6 p.m. by an unknown suspect, police said.

r The other incident occurred on Jan. 25 at about 11:30 a.m. by unknown suspects, police said.
