WILLIAMSPORT — Matthew David Reed, 41, of 34 Canal Lane, Linden, was charged by Williamsport police with allegedly driving under the influence at West Fourth Street and Funston Avenue on Sept. 22. He was sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
WILLIAMSPORT — Michael Allen Rogers, 27, of 180 Laurel Run Road was charged by Williamsport City Police with allegedly driving under the influence at Tenth and Memorial avenues in Williamsport on Sept. 20. He was sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
JS man injured in crash
WATERVILLE — Taylor C. Wallen, 22, of Jersey Shore, was admitted to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with what police called serious injuries he suffered when his car crashed on Little Pine Creek Road about 3:30 p.m. Monday, state police at Montoursville report.
Wallen was traveling south when his vehicle went down an embankment and struck a tree, police said.
Geisinger had no record of Wallen on Friday afternoon.
Woman charged with shoplifting
WILLIAMSPORT — Sarah Elizabeth Baire, 31, of 472 Front St., Antes Fort, was charged by Williamsport City Police with felony shoplifting and receiving stolen property after she was caught allegedly trying to steal $218 worth of merchandise from Wegman’s, 201 William St., on Wednesday afternoon.
The woman was released on $10,000 signature bail in this case, but jailed on a probation violation. This was her fourth shoplifting offense, police said.
Charged with strangulation
WILLIAMSPORT — Jesse Charles Shields, 30, of Renovo was charged by Old Lycoming Township police with strangulation, simple assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting Selena Yingling at 2295 Lycoming Creek Road on Jan. 11.
She was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Initially jailed, she has been released on $25,000 bail.
WILLIAMSPORT — Brett Dascenzo O’Brien, 41, of Lock Haven, was charged by Williamsport City Police with possession of three envelopes of heroin, possession of Alprazolam without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 200 block of Hepburn Street on Aug. 8. Initially jailed, he is now free on $25,000 bail.
Driver, passengers injured
MONUMENT — State police at Rockview investigated a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 2:56 a.m. Jan. 13, on the Monument Orviston Road near Sawmill Road.
Police said the driver of the accident was Kyle Motter, 24, of Jersey Shore. Passengers in his vehicle were Brian K. Andrus, 18, of Howard; Dakota M. Strouse, 22, of Mill Hall and a 15-year-old girl from Beech Creek.
The driver and passengers were taken to Lock Haven Hospital with unknown injuries, police said.
Further details of the crash involving Motter’s 1998 Honda Civic were not reported by police on the press release.
Theft of tips
LOCK HAVEN — Richard Keith MacKenzie, 23, of 58 Pine Mountain Road, McElhattan was charged with theft and receiving stolen property by Lock Haven City Police after he allegedly stole a tip jar from a local restaurant.
Police said the jar was in a restaurant in the 100 block of East Main Street when the defendant went into the business at 9:10 p.m. on Jan. 9 and stole the tip jar from the counter. The jar contained about $72, police said.
