Tractor trailor gets stuck

LOCK HAVEN — City police responded to East Park Street after a tractor trailor was stuck in a parking lot near Taggert Park on Feb. 16 at about 6:20 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle, Saini Sameer, of Dorval, Quebec, said that he was on his way to First Quality Tissue and had wanted to get some sleep before making his delivery, so he pulled into the gravel lot on the south side of Taggert Park as a truck was attempting to pull out of the same lot, police said.

He told police he been there a couple days prior and the ground had been frozen so he believed he could turn wider into the parking lot but his truck it began to sink due to the ground no longer being frozen.

The driver attempted to get his vehicle unstuck by disconnecting the trailer but this only caused him to get stuck even further, police said.

Bressler’s Towing assisted in getting the truck out of the mud.

The grass on the south side of the gravel lot had several large ruts caused by the tractor trailor and there were marks on East Park Street where the tow truck put it’s stablization arms down, police said.

Vehicle stolen

LOCK HAVEN — Andrew Larson, 19, of 300 N. Fairview St., is accused of stealing a vehicle from the 200 block of West Church Street on Feb. 17, city police said.

The vehicle was later recovered and both Larson’s backpack and wallet were found in the vehicle, police said.

Larson was arrested and taken to the Clinton County Correctional Facility, police said.

Underage drinking

LOCK HAVEN — An incident of underage drinking occurred on Feb. 11 at 12:25 a.m., city police said.

Rebecca Reilly, 20, address not listed, was issued a citation for underage drinking while at a party at 33 W. Park St., police said.

Act 64 violation, alleged

HOWARD — State police at Rockview are investigating an Act 64 violation that occurred on Feb. 13 at 10:22 a.m.

A 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, both from Howard, were found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia in Mario Twp., Centre County, police said.

Stolen purse

LOCK HAVEN — A purse containing keys and a key card were stolen from a home in the 10 block of Center Street, city police said.

The theft occurred on Feb. 16 between 11 p.m. and 12 a.m., police said.
