Phone stolen

LOGANTON — Kathy Mixon, 61, of Bradenton, Fla., accidentally left her phone laying inside the bathroom at the Interstate 80 westbound rest area in Greene Township on Friday, Feb. 16, about 4:15 p.m., and discovered that it was missing after she turned around at the next exit to retrieve it, according to state police.

Possession alleged

LAMAR — During a traffic stop on Route 220 on Friday, Feb. 16, Shaun Michael Andersen, 19, of Susquehanna, Pa., was observed with a glass marijuana smoking device left in plain view, state police said.

Following a probable cause search, a metal grinder with fresh marijuana residue and a small amount of marijuana were also found in the vehicle, police said.

Drunkenness alleged

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar allege that Andi Shipcka, 33, of Kirkland, Ohio, was found on the floor of the McDonald’s at 5820 Nittany Valley Drive on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 3:39 p.m. by EMS, who determined that he was not able to stand and needed medical treatment.

Damage alleged

HANEYVILLE — Around 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11, a dark-colored pick-up truck spun out in a gravel parking lot at 17333 Coudersport Pike and peppered a red pick-up truck belonging to Johnathan Mardis, 40, of Lock Haven, leaving damage estimated at $800 along the passenger side and tail gate from the rocks kicked up, according to state police at Lamar.

Vehicle stolen

DUNNSTOWN — Some time between 11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, and 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, a 1999 white Ford Explorer was stolen from 129 Woodward Ave., Lot #43, state police at Lamar said.

The vehicle was located and is still being investigated, police continued.

One-vehicle crash

LOGANTON — A vehicle driven by Aliaksei Kasharyn, 23, of Philadelphia, was attempting to pass a tractor trailer at approximately 65 mph near mile marker 194 on I-80 eastbound when he failed to maintain control of the vehicle, sliding in the snow and leaving the road, going down an embankment, Lamar state police said.

The crash caused front end damage to the vehicle and left it stuck in the ditch, needing towed out, but Kasharyn was uninjured, according to police.

Vehicles collide

STATE COLLEGE — Two vehicles, one driven by Angela Hill, 29, of Bellefonte, and the other driven by Kathy Smerk, 67, of Philipsburg, collided at mile marker 76.2 on I-99 northbound on Tuesday, Feb. 13, state police at Rockview reported.

Suspected DUI

HOWARD — Jeremy Scott Bickle, 52, of Bellefonte, is suspected of driving DUI on Wednesday, January 10 at 9:04 p.m., at the intersection of Forest Ave. and Jacksonville Rd. in Marion Twp., Centre County, state police at Rockview said.

Suspected heroin overdose

BELLEFONTE — On Sunday, Feb. 18, at around noon, police were dispatched to 567 Runville Rd., in Boggs Twp., where they administered three separate doses of Narcan to Shawn Michael Simco, 37, to bring him back to consciousness, state police at Rockview reported. SImco was transported to Mt. Nittany Medical Center for further evaluation, police said.

Single vehicle crash

JERSEY SHORE — Derek Baldwin, 18, of Jersey Shore, was traveling eastbound on Rockey Rd. at 4:58 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18, when his vehicle hit a tree and went down an embankment, state police at Lamar reported.

Police said Baldwin was droving too fast for a curve, causing him to go off the right side of the road, impacting a large tree and spinning as it went approximately 15 feet over an embankment before coming to rest.

Baldwin suffered an injury of unknown severity and was transported by Nippenose Valley EMS, police continued.

Passenger injured

LOGANTON — A vehicle driven by George Ward, 51, of Cogan Station, with two passengers, was traveling west on East Valley Road when he lost control on the snow-covered roadway and swiped a tree on the right side of the road before coming to rest, according to state police at Lamar.

Police continued by noting that the vehicle suffered disabling damage and had to be towed, and one of the passengers suffered a minor injury and was transported by EMS. Two other occupants were not hurt, police said.

Drug possession alleged

BELLEFONTE — Alesha Walk, 37, of Bellefonte, was charged by state police at Rockview with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said Walk was found in possession of drug paraphernalia at 7:02 p.m. Nov. 29, 2017 at 860 S. Eagle Valley Road in Boggs Township, Centre County, after police received a comlaint at that location.
