Public intoxication

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview report John Johnstonbaugh, 59, address not listed, has been charged with public intoxication following an incident on Oct. 18, 2017 in Centre County. No other information was listed on the press release.

DUI alleged

BEECH CREEK –State police at Rockview report a 35-year-old Howard man is accused of driving under the influence following a traffic stop at 2:04 a.m. Feb. 25 on the Monument Orviston Road, in Beech Creek Township.

Police said the suspect was stopped for multiple traffic violations and was believed to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending toxicology report, police said.

Terroristic threats

BLANCHARD –Jonathan Richard Miller of Blanchard is charged by state police at Rockview with simple assault and terroristic threats after he allegedly struck a 40-year-old man from Blanchard in the left eye with his fist.

Miller also made threats to the victim and a 9 mm Hi Point pistol was involved, police said.

The incident occurred at 4:40 a.m. on Feb. 24 on School Street in Liberty Township.

Police said Miller was arraigned by District Judge Kelley Gillette-Walker and bail was set at $10,000.

No injuries

CENTRE HALL — Merle D. Houtz, 60, of Centre Hall, was the driver of a vehicle struck struck an embankment and overturned on Route 144 in Potter Township at 3:12 p.m. Feb. 12, state police at Rockview report.

Houtz was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt, police said.

DUI alleged

BELLEFONTE — A 21-year-old Bellefonte man is suspected of driving under the influence after he was stopped for a traffic stop by state police at Rockview at 1:44 a.m. Feb. 24 on Runville Road in Boggs Township.

Police said the suspect was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for a legal blood draw and charges are pending.
