Criminal mischief

STATE COLLEGE — An unnamed 17-year-old white male fired a BB gun in a Boggs Twp. Quality Inn parking lot on Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. that struck the rear window of a vehicle driven by Wesley Thomas Rowley, 70, of Centre Hall, said state police at Rockview. The accused was charged with criminal mischief through Magisterial Judge Kelley Gillette-Walker’s District Court in Bellefonte, police said.

Single vehicle crash

STATE COLLEGE — A 23-year-old New Jersey man was involved in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 80 West in Rush Twp. on Feb. 24 at 8:38 p.m.

Checo Hensley, driving a 2006 Honda Civic, was traveling west on I-80 during wet road conditions, negotiating a right curve that was slightly downhill, when his vehicle slid sideways, yawing. The car struck the south embankment, spun counterclockwise, hit several small trees and rolled over several times before stopping, police said.

Police said Hensley had to be evacuated from the vehicle by mechanical means. He was wearing his seatbelt and was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center by Snow Shoe EMS. His car was towed by Reese’s Towing. Snow Shoe Fire Department also assisted on the scene, police said.

Hensley was charged for not driving on roadways laned for traffic, said police.

Simple assault

SNOW SHOE — Monique Elizabeth Bohn, 29, of Snow Shoe, was arrested on Feb. 17 between 2 and 3 a.m. at 214 W. Olive St., Snow Shoe, for striking her husband, according to state police at Rockview.

Aggravated sexual assault

SNOW SHOE — While state police officers at Rockview were investigating a report of verbal domestic abuse at Clarence Road, Snow Shoe Twp., on Feb. 22 at 9:20 p.m., an 18-year-old female victim reported that her father sexually assaulted her approximately eight years ago when she was 10.

The suspect, a 45-year-old white male, was removed from the residence as a result of the investigation, which is ongoing, said police.
