Retail theft

JERSEY SHORE — Gabby Jean Burkholder, 19, of 1474 Route 880, Jersey Shore has been sent a summons to appear before a judge after being charged with shoplifting and corrupting the morals of a minor, state police at Montoursville said.

Burkholder is accused of allegedly stealing a total of $831 from four stores at the Lycoming Mall — American Eagle, Old Navy, Bonton and Dick’s Sporting Goods–on Dec. 22, 2017, police said.

A minor participated in the thefts, police said.

Vehicle hits ice

JERSEY SHORE — A one-vehicle crash occured on Feb. 27 at 7:25 a.m. on Route 44 south of Route 973, Watson Twp., Lycoming County, state police at Montoursville said.

Lori S. Stamm, 43, of Jersey Shore, was negotiating a right curve in the roadway and drove over a large patch of ice, police said.

Stamm’s 2012 Honda Pilot crossed over into the northbound lane onto the shoulder, striking a large boulder, police said.

The vehicle then rotated counter-clockwise 180 degrees coming to final rest in the center of the roadway, police said.

Both Stamm and her 14-year-old passenger were transported to the Jersey Shore Hospital by Jersey Shore EMS, police said.
