Flag and pole stolen

LOCK HAVEN –City police are asking the public for help in apprehending two individuals who stole a St. Patrick’s Day Flag and pole valued at $30 on Monday.

The theft occurred in the 400 block of West Water Street, police said.

The two suspects were caught on camera, and the photo will be posted on the Lock Haven Police Department Facebook page, police said.

Vehicle rear-ended

LOCK HAVEN — No one was hurt in a two-vehicle accident last Friday at 1:45 p.m., city police said.

Sheila Jo Salvo, of Lock Haven, was driving west on Bellefonte Avenue when she came to a stop at the red light at the intersection of Barton Street, police said.

Salvo told police the vehicle behind her struck the back of her Ford Sport Trac, police said.

The vehicle was a Ford Ranger, driven by Joseph Lee Bellomy, of Lock Haven.

Bellomy told police the Ford Ranger was someone else’s and he had trouble driving it because it had a standard transmission.

He was issued a citation for following too closely, police said.

Both vehicles sustained minor damage, police said.

Simple assault

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview are investigating a simple assault type of incident that occured Feb. 18 at 5:30 p.m. in Boggs Township.

No further details were released by police.
