Vehicle catches fire

JERSEY SHORE — Neither the driver nor the passengers of a 2004 Kia Sedona were injured after the vehicle caught fire Tuesday night on Interstate 180 in Fairfield Township, state police at Montoursville said.

Teressa A. Russitano, 61, of Williamsport, was driving west when the undercarriage of her vehicle caught fire, police said. She stopped the Sedona on the right shoulder of the roadway where the rest of the vehicle caught fire, police said.

She and her passengers, Jennifer A. Kafka, 43, of Jersey Shore, and a 6-year-old, of Williamsport, were able to get out of harm’s way, police said.

Underage drinking

LOCK HAVEN — Chelsie Nichole Haines, 18, of Williamsport, was cited for causing $275 worth of damage to a storm door on South Highland Street at 6:23 a.m. May 17, Lock Haven City Police said.

When police arrived on the scene, they found Haines had broken the glass out of the door and was intoxicated, the report said.

She was cited for underage drinking, public drunkenness and criminal mischief, police said.

Harassment citation

LOCK HAVEN — Rebecca Frittz, of Lock Haven, was cited for harassment, Lock Haven City police reported. She is accused of throwing a glass bottle at another woman’s head Monday on East Bald Eagle Street, police said.

PFA violation

BELLEFONTE — Charges are pending against a 37-year-old Bellefonte man who allegedly violated a Protection From Abuse around 4:42 a.m. June 10, state police at Rockview said.

The suspect is accused of contacting the 24-year-old victim while a PFA order states there is to be no contact between the two, police said.

Vehicle strikes sign

LOCK HAVEN — A Lock Haven woman was cited for driving a vehicle on the sidewalk after an accident yesterday morning, Lock Haven City police said.

Marlene S. Gladden made a right turn from North Hampton Street onto Bellefonte Avenue, but her vehicle went up on the sidewalk and struck the Wasson Auto Sales sign, she told police. She went home, which was close by, and then called police. No injuries were reported, police said.

IPhone damaged

SPRING MILLS — State police at Rockview are investigating an act of criminal mischief Tuesday night at a home on Bloom Road, Spring Mills, when an iPhone was damaged during an argument.
