Contraband mailed to inmate

BELLEFONTE — Synthetic marijuana, cellphones and charges were mailed to an inmate at State Correctional Institute Rockview on May 22, state police at Rockview said. The investigation continues into this incident, police said.

WILLIAMSPORT — The District Enforcement Office (DEO) #6 of the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement did the following in June:

r Received 90 complaints.

r Conducted age compliance checks at 11 establishments.

r Found that two establishments sold alcohol to underage buyers.

r Issued 13 letters for violations of liquor laws.

r Issued 16 warning letters for violations of liquor laws.

r Made one criminal arrest.

DEO 6 is charged with enforcing liquor laws and related provisions at more than 989 businesses licensed by the state Liquor Control Board, in Clinton, Lycoming, Potter, Bradford, Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga and Union counties.
