Car hits guide rail

LINDEN — Wyatt Palau, 19, of Doylestown, escaped injury when his 2003 Ford Focus struck the guide rail on Route 220 north in Woodward Township at 3:34 p.m. Aug. 11, according to state police at Montoursville.

Police said Palau was eastbound when he lost control of his car while travelling through standing water in the left lane of travel. The car crossed over both lanes and struck the guide rail on the north shoulder of the road, causing damage to the utility pole behind the guide rail. The car suffered disabling damage and was towed by Action Towing.
