Serious injury from assault

LINDEN — Kurtis Cunningham, 30, of Lock Haven, was arraigned before a district judge and placed in Lycoming County Prison for assaulting a 24-year-old Linden man at Harvest Moon Park, Woodward Township, Lycoming County, state police at Montoursville said.

The incident occurred July 18 at 11:06 p.m., and the victim was hospitalized due to severe injuries, police said.

Cunningham’s bail was set at $75,000, police said.

Speeding, DUI

ZION –A 37-year-old Cleveland, Ohio, man may face DUI charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 99 near Zion, Spring Township, state police at Rockview said.

The driver was pulled over for going 83 miles per hour in a 55 miles-per-hour zone on Monday at 9 a.m., police said, and was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Charges are pending lab results, police said.

Laptop stolen

JULIAN — A laptop was stolen from Catty 9 Trailor Park in Julian on Aug. 23 at 9 a.m., state police at Rockview said.

The theft was reported by a 33-year-old Julian woman, police said, and a 35-year-old State College man is a possible suspect.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Trespassing by neighbor

BLANCHARD — A 57-year-old Blanchard man accused his 34-year-old neighbor of trespassing on his property on Aug. 23, state police at Rockview said.

The suspect has been told numerous times by the victim to keep her pets secured and avoid his property, police said.

Counterfeit $20 bills

WOODWARD –State police at Philipsburg reported a suspect passed three counterfeit $20 bills at Woodward Camp, 134 Sports Camp Drive, Haines Township. The incident occurred on Aug. 11 at noon, police said.

Vehicle strikes deer

LINDEN — The driver of a 2002 Ford Focus was not injured after her vehicle struck a deer at 6:29 a.m. Tuesday on Route 220 in Woodward Township, Lycoming County, police said. Carolyn K. Sheasley, 47, of McElhattan was driving north when the deer ran out into the roadway, police said.

PSP Rockview activity

BELLEFONTE — State Police at Rockview released the following statistics for the month of August:

– Crime activity: 194 offenses reported; 177 offenses found; 110 offenses cleared; 98 criminal arrests; and a total of 1,107 incidents responded to.

– Patrol activity: 107 crashes; two fatal crashes; three fatalities; 39 injured; 12 hit-and-run crashes; 1,017 traffic citations given; 611 warning notices given; 24 DUI citations given; 83 motorist assists; 10 DUI-related crashed; two DUI-related fatalities; 12 seatbelt citations given; three child seat citations given.
