Assault alleged

MILL HALL — Kimberly Bower, 50, of Mill Hall, was charged with simple assault and harassment following a domestic dispute where she and an unidentified male victim, 56, also of Mill Hall, were arguing about another family member, state police at Lamar said.

The incident occurred at 11:19 p.m. on Oct. 5 at a residence on Wagner’s Lane, Bald Eagle Township, police said.

Police allege Bower struck the victim with a lamp across the face while he was lying in bed in the dark. After striking him with the lamp, Bower jumped on top of him and started scratching him, police said. Police said the male was able to get away by pushing her into a closet and then calling 911, causing Bower to flee the residence prior to police arriving, although she was found following a search of the area and taken into custody.

Bower was transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility, police said.

Mailboxes damaged

LOCK HAVEN — Christina Fink, 56, of Lock Haven, was driving north on state Route 44 when she traveled off the road following a right turn at state Route 664, striking numerous mailboxes before fleeing the scene, state police at Montoursville said.

Running a red light

MILL HALL — No one was injured when a vehicle driven by Kimberly Workman, 55, of Mill Hall, entered the intersection of Hogan Boulevard and Clinton Lane during a red light at 6:32 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, causing a vehicle driven by Scott Powell, 54, of Lock Haven, to strike Workman’s vehicle as he proceeded through the green light, state police Lamar said.

Drug possession

JERSEY SHORE — Two Jersey Shore residents were charged with drug possession by Williamsport police.

– Terra Bertin, 31, of 844 Railroad St., was found to be in possession of three lorazepam pills without a prescription at the intersection of Park Avenue and Spruce Street in Williamsport on June 23.

She was released on $5,000 bail, according to Williamsport City Police.

– Chadwick Moriarty, 30, of 310 S. Lincoln Ave., was found to be in possession of oxycodone at Third and Market streets in Williamsport on June 18.

He was jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail, according to Williamsport City Police.

Garbage dumping

LINDEN — A suspect dumped trash on property belonging to Thomas Mulfinger, 58, of 636 Yergers Road, Linden, at around noon Tuesday, Oct. 9, but then cleaned up the trash. Mulfinger did not wish to pursue charges, state police at Montoursville said.

Accidents investigated

LAMAR — State police at Lamar investigated two accidents, one of which caused injuries to the driver.

– Michael Bower, 36, of Beech Creek, was taken by Renovo EMS to Bucktail Medical Center following a crash on Renovo Road just north of Goodlings Lane on Sept. 29, at 9:50 p.m. Bower was driving when he went off the right edge of the road, sliding across both travel lanes before hitting a ditch, where his vehicle overturned, state police at Lamar said.

In a another crash, Sierra Fay, 24, of North Huntingdon, was driving on Route 220, just south of the Mill Hall exit, at 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 7, when she lost control and her vehicle struck a guiderail before coming to rest in the right lane, state police at Lamar said.

Suspected DUI

ORVISTON — At 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, Kevin Connelley, 60, of Orviston, was found at 522 Monument-Orviston Road in Beech Creek Twp., lying next to his vehicle with the keys in the ignition, whereby troopers determined that he was under the influence of alcohol and had driven to that location, state police at Lamar said.

Harassment alleged

MUNCY — Erika Vining, 26, of Linden, as well as Nicole Hunter, 19, and Carolyn Hockenberry, 58, both of Muncy, were issued citations for harassment following a physical confrontation on Ruben Kehrer Road in Fairfield Township about 6:45 p.m. on Oct. 8, state police at Montoursville said.

Dog law violations

LOCK HAVEN — Bryan Evers of Linden Street has been charged by Lock Haven City Police with allowing his dogs to run loose in the neighborhood, violating the dog leash law. Police said they charged him with violations on two occasions, Sept. 30 and Oct. 12. He will receive citations in the mail, police said.
