Sexual assault alleged

CENTRE HALL — On Thursday, Oct. 4, at 5:30 p.m., an alleged statutory sexual assault occurred at a location in Centre Hall Borough involving suspected assailant Benjamin Lane Mersinger and a juvenile female, state police at Rockview allege.

Police released no further details of the reported assault and the investigation is continuing.

Theft of funds

OVAL — On Friday, Sept. 21, at 12:20 p.m., unknown actor(s) used an online dating website to steal money from a victim on Shed Road in Limestone Township, Lycoming County, according to state police at Montoursville.

Theft of PSU tickets

LOCK HAVEN — John Henry Woodring Jr., 56, of 101 N. Jones St., was charged with theft of mis-delivered property and theft by deception on Oct. 6, Lock Haven City Police report.

Police said Woodring kept Penn State football tickets that were mis-delivered to his residence and then sold the tickets to another individual for $450. The tickets retail value is approximately $950, police said.

Woodring will receive a summons, police said.

Burglary alleged

LOCK HAVEN — City police are investigating a report that someone entered a residence in the 900 block of East Water Street and stole a computer valued at about $1,685 between Sept. 7 and 14. The report was made on Oct. 3, police said.

Two-vehicle crash

LOCK HAVEN — City police investigated a two-vehicle accident at 9 a.m. Oct. 7 at the intersection of West Church Street and Second Street.

The vehicles were driven by Anna M. Berger of Howard, and Beverly J. Schmidt of Lock Haven.

There were no injuries, police said.

Berger was charged with running a stop sign, police said.
