Police release details of threats against students

BEECH CREEK — A 17-year-old male from Beech Creek was taken into custody by Clinton County Juvenile Probation and charges of terroristic threats are pending after he allegedly sent two threatening Snapchat messages to an 18-year-old female from Beech Creek, according to state police at Lamar.

The messages included 14 other names of students and others who would be hurt by the suspect, police said.

The incident occurred on Nov. 7 at about 11 p.m., police said.

The victim reported the messages to school police on Nov. 8 at Central Mountain High School and state police were called, as the threats were not made on school property or during school hours, police said.

State police said the 15 victims allegedly threatened as 16 and 18-year-old males and a 17-year-old female from Lock Haven, 17 and 16-year-old males and a 17-year-old female from Beech Creek,16, 17, 18, and 19-year old males from Mill Hall, a 29-year-old male from State College, a 24-year-old male from Blanchard, an 18-year-old-male from Linden and a 28-year-old male from Bellefonte.

None of the names of the victims nor the suspect have been released.

Police said parents of the minors have been notified of the incident, police said.

No injuries in two-vehicle crash

MILL HALL –A crash occurred on Nov. 9 at approximately 12:30 p.m. as Krystle Yarrison, 33, of Loganton was pulling out of the Rey Azteca restaurant and Seth Bechdel, 23, of Lock Haven was southbound on Route 150. Bechdel did not see Yarrison’s vehicle and continued until collision, according to state police at Lamar.

No injuries were reported. Valley Collision responded to tow Bechdel’s vehicle, police said.

Harassment by physical contact

JERSEY SHORE — On Nov 11. at approximately 3 p.m., a domestic violence incident occurred between Pearl Oglesby, 56, of Jersey Shore, and Erin Tripp, 26, of Jersey Shore, at 223 Henry St. in Pine Creek Township, according to state police at Lamar.

Tripp will be cited for harassment through district court, police said.

DUI alleged

WILLIAMSPORT — Heidi White, 50, of Lamar was stopped by the Lycoming County DUI Task Force at East Third Street and Warrensville Road in Loyalsock Township on Sept. 1 and found to be driving under the influence, according to police reports. She was charged with DUI and released on $5,000 bail.
